Lexington, South Carolina - March 3, 2023 - Richard Sorin, champion, entrepreneur, and accomplished strength athlete has been honored with induction into the International Sports Hall of Fame. This recognition is awarded to individuals who have made a significant impact on their profession and community, and are world champions or record holders.

Richard Sorin has been a trailblazer in the Iron Game for over 50 years. He is both the founder of Sorinex Exercise Equipment and a legend of grip strength. His contributions to the field have pushed the industry to new heights, and have inspired countless others to pursue greatness in strength and business. 

The International Sports Hall of Fame is one of the most prestigious honors in the sports industry. Founded by Robert Goldman MD, Ph.D. Inductees are selected by the Global Advisory Board, which includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Fairfax Hackley, James Lorimer, Randy Couture, Mark Henry, and others. This year's class of inductees includes some of the most accomplished individuals in the history of sport, and Richard Sorin is honored to be recognized among them.

Timing, involvement, and resolve. These are the traits Richard Sorin spoke about during his acceptance speech at the International Sports Hall Of Fame ceremony at the Arnold Sports Festival this past weekend. He was inducted alongside Hafpór Björnsson, Ronnie Lott, Kayla Harrison, and Jackie Joyner-Kersee. 

Upon receiving news of his induction, Richard Sorin expressed his gratitude and humility. "It is a distinct pleasure to be invited and recognized on the international sports stage for what we do in the iron game," he said. "I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with some of the strongest and dedicated professionals in the Iron Game, and I share this recognition with them. I am also grateful to my son, Bert Sorin, who is my greatest accomplishment. I am thankful to my friends for their support and encouragement throughout my career."
